CID Dance Company


CID Dance Company is a Scandinavian contemporary dance company based in Stockholm, Sweden. The company was founded by Sarah Aviaja Hammeken in 2012.

CID Dance Company consists of six dancers that together are exploring the world of movement.

The company specializes in stage art and wishes to push the limits within contemporary dance. They are a group of physical dancers that often take inspiration from other art forms.

CID Dance Company highly values collaborations with other artists such as musicians, photographers, video-makers and designers.

They are searching for different ways to express thoughts, ideas and questions through the body. They have created a platform for developing both physical and mentally exploring dance.



Sarah started dancing around the age of 14 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

She studied at Heleneholms gymnasium in Malmö, and later at Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich.

She has a Professional Dancers Education from The Ballet Academy in Stockholm, specializing in contemporary dance.

She has worked with choreographers such as Lee Brummer and Israel Aloni (ilDance), Stephanie Thomasen (Uppercut Danseteater), Charlotta Öfverholm and Peter Svenzon.

Sarah founded CID Dance Company in 2012 and has since then been choreographing and participating in performance contexts.

She’s the Artistic Director of CID Dance Company and one of the company dancers.


Nea graduated from The Professional Dancers Program at The Ballet Acadamy in Stockholm, in 2015.

She’s been part of the youth company ilYoung, led by Lee Brummer and Israel Aloni (ilDance) and has also worked with Jim de Block/Gothenburg Opera, Peter Svenzon, Shusaku Takeuchi, Eytan Sivak, Tromäki Dance Company and Charlotta Öfverholm among others. She has also done musicals, music videos and TV.

Nea joined CID Dance Company in the spring 2013.


Caroline started her early dance carrier when she was 4 years old and has over the years graduated at The Royal Academy of Dance in grades 1-7 and intermediate.

She continued her education at Spin Off in Oslo and The Ballet Academy’s professional dancers education, in Stockholm.

She was also a part of the musical group APPLAUS, where she did performances such as “Blood Brothers”, “Guys and Dolls” and “Hair”.

In 2010, Caroline had the main roll Swanhilda, in the ballet performance “Coppelia” where she danced with Igor Ivanov.

In 2014, she was a dancer in the Swedish idol final in Globen and during the winter 2015 she had an internship with the Norwegian choreographer, Jo Strømgren.

Caroline became a part of CID Dance Company in 2012.


Sigrid started dancing early on and performed in several TV shows, tours and big productions in Norway from the age of 12.

She got accepted at Fagerborg VGS in Oslo and went from there to the Ballet Academy in Stockholm.

Sigrid exchanged to New York and Broadway Dance Center with ballet as her major and Natalya Stavro as her mentor.

In New York, Sigrid participated in several performances contexts and won the “Outstanding Student Award” at BDC.

She is the assistant choreographer to Tomas Glans for “Märtha- the musical”, which will premier in Oslo in January 2016.

Sigrid joined CID Dance Company in 2014.


Nicoline started dancing classical ballet when she was 4 years old in Norway.

She has a one-year education from Spin Off Preliminary Study in Dance and has graduated from The Ballet Academy in Stockholm.

She performed a duet with Jonas Olsen in 2011 by Martine Hammervold in Oslo.

The same year she performed at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet with the project “På tå hev” choreographed by Christopher Kettner and Sarah da Fonseca.

In the examination performance for Spin Off she was one of the eight dancers in “Styx” by Subjazz at Riksscenen in Oslo.

Nicoline has also worked with choreographers such as Charlotta Öfverholm, Lee Brummer, Israel Aloni and Teresia Björk. She went to New York for an internship with Julia Ehrstrand in 2015.

Nicoline joined CID Dance Company in 2014.


Philip started dancing when he was 16 at the high-school Kulturama with a major in musical theatre.

Later, he graduated from The Professional Dancers Education at The Ballet Acadamy in Stockholm. Most notable, he has been a dancer in IlYoung, a youth company led by Lee Brummer and Israel Aloni. He also had an internship at Batsheva Dance Company in autumn 2014.

In addition, he has worked with Peter Svenzon, Charlotta Öfverholm, Shusaku Takeuchi, Tromäki Dance Company and in different collaborations with Sarah Aviaja Hammeken.

He has also done several musicals, music videos and TV- and fashion-shows.

He became a part of CID Dance Company during the summer 2015.
